BBC World tonight Bhutto is aiding the efforts to control Pakistan? Any ideas about these developments? Musharraff is no angel, now he has put off elections from January until maybe ? February? And in steps Ex PM Bhutto ? She has ties to the Saudi's? Which ones? And still we are in a rock hard place giving them 10 billion, perhaps they harbor Bin Laden anyway? This is not just a Bush drama. These people move as bedouins thru the area. And they have for years. Speculations? Educated theory. Thanks for your answer.
A Freedom struggle required in Pakistan??? Its time for the people in Pakistan to realize who their real enemy is and they have to fight for their freedom , democracy cannot ..i repeat... cannot be held in chains forever by deceptive dramas orchestrated by Mushref. People of Pakistan..rise and fight ...!!!!!
was india-pakistan match fixed? set aside your sentiments and think objectivly. all those last minute drama, dropped catch, Agarkar conceding 17 runs in the second last over, the runout, and Pakistan in the bowl out bowling as if they don't know the basics of it.It makes one wonder..........
by the recent controversy of darrel hair and the pakistan captain I think the cricket has become a drama? A captain of a team brings the game disrepute and hold the officials to ransom that they will not play the ODI series, and finally gets away with a very lenient punishment , it shows clearly that the ICC is not in control its truely the Asian market which is dictating the terms, that mean all the cricket boards and market driven , hence this no sports any more ,,,,,,,,,,,,just a waste of time

Is my story off to a good start? This is the story I am writing. I am calling it "Walk on Water" 4 different teenagers, four different nationalities, 4 different stories, connected together and bound in one book. It's a Drama. #1: American. Blonde, blue-eyed. 15, very rich, suffering from severe depression. #2 From Africa. Dark hair/ eyes. short. 14, no father or mother. Forced to raise 3 brothers and sisters on her own. Extreme Poverty. #3 Mexican. Brown hair, charcoal eyes. 15,Forced to flee from her country with her family after her father's plan to overthrow the government is foiled. From Riches to Rags. #4 From Pakistan. 16, Poor, needy In a country of war, she is forced to fight for her allegiances... even if it means going against her family. Is this a good prolouge? Prologue Life is like an apple. A big, red, juicy one. It gleams, crimson and waxy. On the outside. Who knows what the inside may hide. Bruises? Rotten bits? Worms, perhaps? Just like life, there are only two options. You can take a chance and bite into it, savour its juicieness, relish its flavour. There may be rotton patches, but you're willing to take a chance in order to enjoy the good parts. Or you can walk away from it, shirk away from what might be bad, hide from the ugly unknown. But while you may be getting away from the nuiscances of life, youn will never know the sweet satisfaction of the simple pleasures it holds. Life is what you make it. Carpe Diem Seize the Day Then comes chapter 1 :) Also, any suggestions? Any good character names? Is it even worth continuing?
When will Musharraf be removed from power? And how? When Zia-ul-Haqs job was completed he was blown in the air, when Musharaf was needed for Al-Qaida drama and Globalisation of Pakistan, Nawaz was places with Kings of KSA. When Musharraf's job is over will he endup like Zia or Nawaz? Zia was killed by West when they no longer needed him, they took Nawaz to Saudies and brought Musharaf for Al-Qaida drama and to promote non Muslim culture, he will not be killed till he does that job or someone takes his place.
I need help formulating an argument for a thesis :/? In “False Identifications” Diana Taylor uses ideas about performance and theatricality to examine the death and mourning of Princess Diana in its global and local manifestations. Just recently, another female world political figure met an untimely end—Benazir Bhutto of Pakistan. Using the Web or the library, locate an account of the assassination and its aftermath. Then write an essay in which you use Taylor’s ideas to explore representations of the assassination and death of Benazir Bhutto. Princess Diana’s death spawned memorial murals throughout the world; what public displays of mourning have been created for Bhutto and do they function in the same ways? Is Bhutto’s assassination another example of Turner’s model of “social drama”? What sort of “ghosting” or “hauntology” has emerged in the wake of this death? How does it manifest locally? What role does death, in general, play in politics—local, national, and/or global?

Question to all the muslims bro and sis? Asslamuallikum, I am 22 year old Pakistani student living in UK. I come from modern but still religious family who values religion a lot. I am in very complex situation right now, and this is related to my marrige to my first cousin who lives in virginia, USA. She is 17 years old studying in high school and she aslo comes from modern but still religious family as she is a daughter of my uncle(mamoon) mother's brother. From my maternal side I have 3 uncles and my mom, and Allahhamdulliah there have never been any problem between us and we are just like one big family. And the relation I have with my uncle and aunty is just like my mom and dad. So my problem is I got engaged to my cousin last year in july. And this engagement brought lots and lots of happiness in our family because it was my mom's and my uncle's dream come true. And I was also very very happy because I liked the girl a lot. Since past 2 months I have noticed a change in behaviour of my fiance to me. I tried to figure the problem but she never told. She always said I get tired while working (she is working in a store called TARGET) or there is a lot stress at school. Recently I found out she has been dating some mexican guy from her work and they often go out. And in the same week I found out that during this whole 1 year she dated and broke up with 3 guys. And for the proof I hacked her email address and found her pics kissing that guy. After getting to know about all this stuff I was totally shocked. And I missed my exams because she cheated on me. As I was seriously in love with her, and my uncle, aunt and my mom were doing wedding preparations back home. About 3 to 4 days back I called her mom and told her everything and also told this thing to my mom. Yesterday my aunt called me and she was crying on the phone. She said my daughter have done something really really bad and she has realized that and want to appologise for everything. And she would do anything if I ask her to do. As I am very very religious person and I value my family a lot because if this relation break this will bring shame not to her family but also to my family because we are just one. My mom have left everything on me and all rest of the family members are crying to save this relationship. But over here I can't understand how can I forgive a girl who slept with another guy and this engagement never ment anything to her. No she says I am sorry, and ready to do anything I say. I always used to say her to take hijab as all of her other cousin took hijab and prayed 5 times and were very modest, but she never listen to me. No I am in the situation that I can not let down the uncle and aunt I loved the most and even my rest of the family who were so happy for this relationship. And on the other hand I cannot see my fiance's face again becuase I saw her kissing that guy and that is way too much for a person like me because its been almost 2 years for me in Uk and I have never been to any club/bar or touched any girl. PLease help me I am really really confused here and don't know what to do because I will be going to pakistan next week and they are also goign to pakistan the week following week. And my uncle doesn't know the whole drama because if he finds out he will either kill his daughter or kill himself because for him this marrige was everything.. PLease help me.

What was real story behind drama of the Mumbai to Delhi Indian aeroplane hijacking on 3rd October 2001 ? When an Indian plane from Mumbai was on its way to Delhi, on 3 rd October, 2001, it was reported by govt agencies that it was hijacked by 2 persons as passengers. Within minutes terror plot & name of Pakistan as usual in India started as propaganda. it was a little after 9/11, so, every effort was made to take maximum milage out of it to impress & influence USA(chamchagiri) to attach that with 9/11. It was done in similar manner as same drama of hijacking of Ganga was done in 1971 to create an opportunity to attack Pakistan to make Bangladesh is well known. This time Indian agencies made a blunder. When all agencies & TV channels cried of hijacking, the passengers on board called their relatives on cell phones that they were safe & there was no hijacking at all. That exposed d drama & USA too understood & couldn't be persuaded to invade Pakistan. So, after a lot of thought, parliament attack drama in Dec, 2001 was orchestrated & soon heavy troops started moving. Isn't it100% correct ? It is interesting to note that Agra Summit on 14 th July, 2001 was focibly failed only at the last moment from being grand success to solve Kashmir Dispute between two neighbours in fixed time frame as it was decided between Vajpayee & Nawaz Sharif in 1999(it was then decided to solve the issue within 18 months). The inner hawks of BJP actually sabotaged the summit. This gave wrong signal to the world that India doesn't want peace in this region. As Musharraf outplayed Vajpayee in media management extremely nicely, media started detailing long history of sabotage of the issue several times before reaching solution from Nehru's days till then & weaknesses of India's legal claim on that. All indian leaders were mostly keeping quiet. In August 19 issue of Sunday Mid Day, a short article 'Surprising Facts' by Shiv Shankar Singh came telling hidden parts of story of Kashmir demolishing Indian legal claim, creating a tension in political circle. 3 weeks later 9/11 happened. Isn't it linked ? Hashim Quraishi hijacked Ganga in 1971 & lived in Holland afterwards. If he was a terrorist according to India, why was his so called crime condoned when he came back few years ago ? Before his comeback, he was constantly giving statements in favour of India continuously for two decades. He was branded as an Indian agent by Kashmiri groups who were struggling for the right of self determination to be implemented, denied by India all the time.

Posted By: shaista @ 03/01/2008 5:36:46 AM Comment: THE lunch hosted by Mr Asif Zardari for the newly elected members of the three leading parties on Feb 27 may well be remembered as a landmark in the long awaited transition to a democratic dispensation in Pakistan. The squalls that rocked the state on Oct 12, 1999 and in the form of the 17th amendment inflicted much damage. Then, the catastrophe of Nov 3 put all salvaging efforts beyond the capacity of any single party. The existing distortions in that historic but half-alive Constitution present a nightmare and demand the exercise of the highest form of political wisdom and legal expertise. The process of eliminating them by creating a new interface between politics and law has just begun. Pakistan???s present crisis is characterised by the bitter harvest of constitutional violations, growing imbalance between a power-hungry centre and the handicapped federating units, uncontrollable violence by ever-proliferating bands of extremists and, above all, by a rapidly rising table of sub-surface social anger at glaring inequalities of income and opportunity. A reasonably broad-based coalition government may provide a healing touch. There is no great virtue in a two-party system anymore as, for quite some time to come, regional aspirations will deepen particular identities of the constitutive elements of a diverse nation. The greatest achievement of the three top leaders present at Mr Zardari???s lunch is that they successfully persuaded their followers that these identities were perfectly compatible with an overarching national identity. Scratch the surface and lurking just beneath the protest against the humiliation of the higher judiciary and repeated violations of the Constitution is a palpable anguish of poverty and deprivation. Pakistan must eschew politics of vendetta but that does not mean that every crime against the state and society be brushed under the carpet. It needs a high-powered Commission on Truth, Justice and Reconciliation in the interest of historical accuracy and to build dykes for future security. We need to replace mercenary relations with relations based on mutual respect, community of interests and coordinated pursuit of common objectives within our respective national parameters. A strong and stable national coalition can be built around the present understanding between the PPP, PML-N and ANP. The US-led West should welcome it and not undermine it as it alone can make Pakistan???s battle against militant extremists effective The west should to withdraw their support from the one Musharaf who loathed by the people at maximum Posted By: shaista @ 03/01/2008 5:07:40 AM Comment: THE results of the election that took place on Feb 18 were astonishing. President Musharraf???s supporting party Pakistan Muslim League (Q) was wiped out and the ministers who were lucky enough to keep their seats are now at a safe distance from President Musharraf. The people at large want the president to go with no other choice. However, the US has been unduly interfering in our politics as its Assistant Secretary of State Richard Boucher has emphasised the need to continue President Musharraf???s rule. Pakistan has remained under military rule for more than half of its life, and the people no longer want any dictator to rule over them. As the PPP has secured the maximum number of seats, followed by the PML (N), the ties made between these parties also pose a serious challenge to the president???s stay any further in office. His rule for eight long years has brought many hardships to the nation and now he should quit The US slogan for democracy is and justice is just a slogan and in real and practicle not willing to be so for their own agenda From whome to expect the justice and democracy in the world the only power it self violate This is not the Musharaf pakistan but of 1,600/-Millions people and what they think of the rest This is not in the benifit of US to support the cruel one of the country who now the people think as Mechile G.Choaf The people and the young generation have very strong anti US sentiments due to their blind support of Dictator Musharaf This is not a good sign and this will increase with passage of time Posted By: eddiewhere @ 02/29/2008 2:12:44 AM Comment: IN THIS ENVIORNMENT OF ECONOMIC FEUDALISM WHERE THE MIDDLE CLASS MUST SUFFER IN ORDER TO INCREASE THE pROFITS OF MULTINATIONAL CORpORATIONS, WHO BENEFIT FROM CHEAp LABOR, THE AMERICAN DREAM HAS BEEN LOST. People in Pakistan voted in favor of Bhutto's party, not for Zardari, who was responsible for her twice ouster from the Premiership due to his shameful dirty roles of Mr.10%. Country's biggest grass root party preaching "Government of the People, by the People, for the People", which was founded on the basic principle of providing them respectable " Bread, Dress and Shelter", was created by Bhutto, hanged by a military dictator. Now, the party is orphaned in a bomb-blast death of his daughter during another military rule. Situation brings forth her rootless spouse, "Mr.Tenpercent Zardari", holding the People's mandate ( at ransom?), for endless exploits. Whatever the words mean, they cannot change the genes. The name "Zardari" literally means "Gold-Lord" and he lives his name literally. He was responsible for legislating and monopolizing gold import into Pakistan (through an Emirates based gold-tycoon of Pakistan origin) on a ridiculous 2% custom duty and made unfathomable ocean of fortune. If the US administration is ready," to let them have their rounds of discussions, still expecting the [Pakistani] Army to take the necessary military action, counting on an interesting transition", then the whole riddle is solved. The ongoing change in Pakistan is not a change of " act" in the drama being staged but, a "change of gear into a powerful all terrain drive", to move forward on the designed road-map, crossing effectively all rugged and bogging tracts en-route. Posted By: shaista @ 02/25/2008 5:19:05 AM Comment: The newly retired General Musharraf has displayed no intention of leaving office despite his king party losing even after plenty of evidence that he had planned to rig the elections. The caretaker government was anything but neutral and the Election Commission was suspect. But pressure from Washington compelled him to change his plans. Had he still engaged in massive rigging, not only would he have drawn Washington???s ire but also evoked ugly street protests. He knew that if the ???agitators??? caused the country to come to a standstill, the army would distance itself from him. Without their protection, he would not last a day in office. The habitual offender Musharaf this time fail for not carrying out a full pleadge crime of rigging due to international observer existing These people will never be convinced that it is time for the ex-general to go. To them, he is the embodiment of truth, the doer of all good things, and the prince of enlightened moderation without whom Pakistan would return to the Dark Ages. It is time for Musharraf, to wake up and realise that the game is over. Everything Musharraf stood for was repudiated on Feb 18. The electoral results have made it clear, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the people do not wish to see Musharraf holding court on radio and television day in and day out. Aitzaz Ahsan spoke for millions when he said, ???Musharraf is the most hated & loathed man in Pakistan.??? During the last several months, poll after poll showed Musharraf???s popularity plummeting like a lead coin in a bottomless well. But he continued to reject the polls by saying that they only represented the views of a few thousand people and asserted vainly that he was vastly popular in the populous countryside. But even the King???s party was not taken in by the myths spun out by the monarch. It knew that once rigging was no longer an option, its fate was sealed. Why else would they seek to obtain the release of one of the key instigators of the Lal Masjid takeover, Abdul Aziz, just days prior to the vote? This was an obvious ploy designed to play on the religious sympathies of the people and to garner much needed votes. How else could one justify releasing a real and confirmed terrorist from jail while holding the nation???s eminent justices and barristers under house arrest? Musharraf had said not too long ago that he would step down when he saw that the people were no longer with him. He said he was continuing as president only because it was in the national interest. He would rather be playing golf or tennis, he noted, but the situation required him to sacrifice his personal interests. Well, the time has now come for him to do the nation a favour and quit as he is the only evil for this country. NO PAKISTANI PREMIER SHOULD ENGAGE IN DIRECT FIGHT WITH PERVEZ MASSAREF TO ENGAGE PAKISTAN AGAIN N VIOLENCES, AND/OR EMMERGENCY. tHIS IS BECAUSE MUSSAREF IS NOT ALONE BUT HE HAS SUPPORT FROM INTERNAL AND EXTERNAL POWERBLOCS. A SLOWER APPROACH TO DEMOCRATIC SOLUTION IN PAKISTAN MAY BE MORECORRECT FOR THE TIME SCALES. THE REV DR KAMAL KARNA K ROY, A US AMERICAN PRESIDENTIAL _ REPUBLICAN HOPEFUL, NEW YORK 2.24.2008 Posted By: Mohdsheikh @ 02/24/2008 12:49:45 AM Comment: Washington's top ranks seem unworried about what the new civilian leaders might decide. The only worry Americans have about the moment to keep up Musharraf in Presidency because Musharraf has amended the constitution in such a way no one else can do any thing without his consent and authority. This is worrisome for the new elected politicians. They know very much the hard fact that they have not been elected on merits, it is the hatred against Musharraf they have en-cashed. Because Musharraf have destroyed the true democrative spirit of the Pakistan???s Constitution by extremely autocratic and extra constitutional way before conducting the general election so that he could do the post election rigging. If those powers are not taken away from the presidency then the politicians will be nothing more than tools in his hands. If the politicians failed to restore highest court judges that will mean they are empty handed. Moreover they won???t be able to face their voters who have sent them Islamabad to clean up the mess and deliver good to them. Do you miss India-Australia matches? Folks i have just realized that cricket is nothing without India-Australia rivalry. We and Pakiz are now friends and Pakistan hasn't been performing well in last few years. So India-Pakistan rivalry is almost dead. All other cricket matches are so friendly,so uncontroversial. No drama,no monkey business. India-Australia series was real cricket. We fought with each other everywhere. We fought on the ground, we fought off the ground,we fought in the media,we fought in the courts. We even dragged icc into our fight.lol We brought streakers into stadiums. Now India-Australia series is over, and cricket has become a boring sport again. No fighting.Umpires are tension free. Damn. I miss India-Australia matches.
Al Qaida: a man made enemy pulled from the realms of fantasy? Whats the reality? The myth of "al Qaida" is built on an expansive foundation of many half-truths and hidden facts. It is a CIA creation. It was shaped by the agency to serve as a substitute "enemy" for America, replacing the Soviets whom the Islamist forces had driven from Afghanistan. Unknown American officials, at an indeterminate point in time, made the decision to fabricate the tale of a mythical worldwide network of Islamic terrorists from the exploits of the Afghan Mujahedeen. The CIA already had their own network of Islamic militant "freedom fighters," all that was needed were a few scattered terrorist attacks against US targets and a credible heroic figurehead, to serve as the "great leader." The really tricky part of creating a mythical terrorist monster out of an incomplete truth is laying-out the facts behind your mythical story without revealing the whole truth about your part in its creation. In order to explain away the billions of dollars worth of weapons and training that went into the operation, they chose a rich jihadi, a Saudi millionaire named Osama bin Laden, who had been a faithful recruiter and business agent of the Mujahedeen. He was painted as the sole financier of the entire enormous operation that was centered in Pakistan and Afghanistan. Bin Laden may not even have known that he was playing a part in a deceitful CIA global drama until after the fact. It is more likely that his history was chosen many years later to serve as the legacy of "al Qaida," than it is that he was a brainwashed tool of the spy agency all along.
Can anyone remember a drama series? It was on in the late 80's I think and all I can vaguely remember about it was that there was an English woman and she was married to a man who was from Pakistan and she came home one day to find that he had taken the children to Karachi and she had to go out there and try and fight to get them back. It was a few parts and I only saw it the once. Can anyone remember it and what it was called? Do you know where I can find out info about it? There is no info on IMDb.
