What penalty will Pakistan Cricket Board impose on Shoaib Akhthar and Mohammed Asif for testing positive?

Public Comments

  1. 2 years ban
  2. 2 year ban which will probably end akhtars international career at least its a real shame because they are talented without the need for steroids :(
  3. They will be banned for 2 years.
  4. I think its an unhappy end of a great fast bowler Shoaib because he is likely to get maximum 2 years punishment which will obviously end his international career. Despite being a fan of his fast bowling I still consider it a great lesson for the youngster knocking at the International career. A player should always give first priority to the game which gave him all the respect and fame but I afraid say it was not the case with Akhtar's career who did every things which could have thrown him out of internation cricket. I feel pity for Asif because he is great promise for International cricket and should be dealt leniently considering it was his first offense, if he proves guilty.
  5. i won't think sumthin bad will happen..!!! they will be bak till worldcup..!!
  6. An enquiry is being conducted by PCB in the matter and punishment will be decided after enquiry is completed. Punishment awarded to another player earlier for the same kind of offence was 2 years ban.
  7. They will not give both bowlers to play in ICC champions trophy
  8. THEY WILL BE COME BACK BEFORE W.C 2007
  9. actually they are banned for some matches.but,i don't think that they really took those drugs or whatever it was............!??! well that is a cheat and the ICC wants pakistan not to play good in the champions trophy as well as the coming world cup 2007!
  10. i dont think anythings gonna happen to them..........simply cuz the test was conducted by pcb themselves.......they wont like to slain their best bowler ...........i'm darn sure that after some drama they'll be let off........
  11. ban for 2 yrs
  12. Pakistain Cricket Board didn't have any rule for this so they'll go with icc rules of 2 years ban.
  13. well they are not going to get themselves in troube with the world cup in march next year..>! most probably the two would be banned till the world cup (this'd give them time to practice more for the WC =P) and impose some hefty monetary fine i guess.. or make changes to their central contract.. maybe demote them to a lower category...
