INDIA & PAKISTAN, are they really ready to be friends?
we share the same taste for music ,the same love for cricket and the same craze for shahrukh khan movies.Everyday, somewhere in india or pak we have these mindless lovey dovey indo-pak meets, peace marches but is it leading to newhere.is all this enough to make us forget the pain of partition, have we matured enough to watch an indo-pak match with a friendly spirit or more importantly are we ready forget the hatred we had for each other all these years(some of us still have it).are any of the so called indo -pak friendship things working or are they one of those political rainbows-beutiful but too far and impractical

- I don't think countries can be friends. Only people can be friends.
- Yes, well there's some of us out here in the cricketing world who wonder why. It's as if we Australians didn't get along with our KIwi(NZ) neighbours. What is your problem?
- Definitely, India and Pakistan can be friends. I dont see any reason why they should not be? So, If India and pakistan need to be friends, Kashmir dispute need to be resolved. Once the Pakistan Official spokesman said "Without Kashmir Pakistan is incomplete" and India replied "Without Pakistan, India is incomplete". Eventhough It reflects the sircastic tone, but it looks to be a solution. Just read the same lines by saying "India offers Kashmir to pakistan. Also India and pakistan agreed to join together to pre-1947 era" By doing this, both pakistan and india motives are fullfilled. But this is a pathetic suggestion for both indian and pakistan think-tanks. Because they want to run their own governments. As a comman man, my answer is "60 Years of Enmity between India and Pakistan will not DETER our BROTHER HOOD of ages" ******************************************************************** ******************************************************************** REPLY TO SIR_THINKS_A_LOT, ------------------------------------------------ Being an Indian and genuinely interested towards the merging of India and Pakistan as one country, I rated "thumbs up" for sir_thinks_a_lot. Because, what matters most is changing the mindset of people of both the countries. Where the person from lahore should be able to study in chennai without any cross-border authorization. In the same way, the guy from bengal should be able to do business in karachi on a one currency. Thats what important to me. Following things are doesnt matter, Whether it is Mughal empire or Magadha empire. Whether it is Prithiviraj or Aurangazeb Whether it is Greater Pakistan or Greater India or Akhanda Bharat Most surprising thing to me is, We dont know the solution for Who am I before 100 years and How I am going to be after 100 years? But we are bothering about Mughal Empire and Lord Ram. Throw these things out of your mind and live happily on your given life time.
- Biggest problem is Kashmir & Indian mindset, Indian BACK “STAB” of AKHAND BHARAT in the name of FRIENDSHIP with PAKISTAN: Indians need to change your thinking that 3 independent countries India, Bangladesh and specially Pakistan should be united again. Ppl especially foreign ppl ask why Pakistan & India are enemies? The reason is typical Indian thinking and what it is? Not to recognize specially Pakistan and also Bangladesh. You can not have friendship unless you recognize its existence and Indians are thought to think the same Anti-Pakistan way. It is regretful that our good hospitality normally leads Indians to illusions some one tell them we are good to our every guest and not only to Indians. Germany was a single country separated by war and by foreign countries, it is not the way we achieved the great Pakistan. We fought for it and QUAID-E-AZAM is the father of the nation. Think for friendship rather than unrecognizing PAKISTAN
- As a Pakistani, I am 1000000000% agree to this based on the following condition: India SHOULD JOIN Pakistan and become part of Greater Pakistan. I am all for a great Mughal Empire based in Pakistan. I also agree with the Indian spokesperson, India is truly not complete without being part of a Muslim Empire.
