Why is the news so shocked by the assassination in Pakistan?

Public Comments

  1. Why not?
  2. it was kind of expected i guess, but still pretty shocking what lengths some people go to.
  3. its just something to write about, thats it.when bhutto came around,i knew she was going to die.it was just a matter of when.
  4. i dont think the news media is shocked but it is a big event to talk about and will be replaced in the mainstream international news media whenever the next big thing happens.... also i dont think could be sure this was the time or way that she would be denied any chance of winning election and taking the position
  5. Shes famous. Shes shot. Shes dead. So why shoudnt they be shocked?
  6. not shocked. just disgusted that these fools will jump on the statues of the great orientals.\ the west has alway held pakistan in high regard as a people !
  7. I think collectively the media is suppose to show shock, but Ms. Bhutto wasn't shocked, she foretold it and since she returned to the country, I have prayed continuously for her. Okay lets all act shocked, but were we really? God Bless.
  8. Bhutto was a beautiful woman! This isn't meant to take away from the tragedy. I feel deeply about her cause and very sorry about her murder. She made the media talk shows and was known to a lot of people from being interviewed by Wolfe Blitzer on CNN. If the person assassinated was a fat old ugly man, and unknown to the media talk show circuit, it wouldn't have made the six o'clock news. thanks
  9. Because her death marks the beginning of the end times of the world. It is a sign that we don't have much longer for life on earth to remain as we have always known it to be.
  10. thay are not really shocked
  11. it is not that everyone is shocked. They are more worried than shocked. Pakistan has been having many internal problems lately and this could cause the government to fall apart. If this happens, it could be possible for the nuclear bombs that they have fall into "the wrong hands".
