NEWS - Australia Postpones Pakistan Tour...?

2. yer its a shame these two great cricketing country's should be playing each other ,for us cricket fans to enjoy surly they can find an alternative venue

News says it's postponed but I'd say it's more of a cancelled pakistan board and cricket australia will have a meeting next week for possible re arrangements.. australia's schedule is pretty hectic at the moment so it is more likely that the tour will go ahead on 2010... I agree maybe an alternative venue should be an option but god please not in India.. I'd suggest maybe Bangladesh or Sri Lanka.. it'll be good for these two countries tourism.

As far as i know according to the newspaper of Pakistan it tells that the CA has canceled the tour because of the 2 blasts that occurred in "Lahore", Pakistan, one was at the FIA and the other one was at the "Model town" area...in addition, there is some more past bombings in Lahore such as in the collage where 8 students were killed and 10-15 were injured. I think CA decided to do the right thing (canceling tour) because in Pakistan there is too much bombings going on since this early December....in December Pakistan's former Prime minister " Benazir Bhutto" in Rawalpindi was killed in a bomb blast...and till then lots of bombings are going on in the major cities of Pakistan. Like you said "I would like to see some cricket being played" yes you are right BUT in this situation you cannot play Cricket like I mean anything can happen on the ground such as....players can die. As you said "can't Pakistan come to Australia"...No they can't because Pakistan don't want a neutral venue so in addition the tour will not happen until at least 2010.

6. This is a bad news of Pak cricket fans,, but Aus are concerned about their safety. In the end Aus decision is fine not to tour in the current Pak situation.
