Is US is going to send their army to Pakistan after the assassination of Benazir?
I do agree. I am a Bangladeshi and as a neighbour of Pakistan, it is also a moment of sadness for us. From our recent political constitution there is a similarity between pakistan and us. We got a army back-up government which imprisoned the politicans for corruption. But ,here, I want to mention that there is a conspiracy going on here. I belive that a large chaos is going to create in Pakistan and the US government should take this chance for establishing their army there. What you say about it and what is your idea?

- No we are not going to send are army into Pakistan, they are our allies and friends don't do that to other friends.
- The US is involved. You can be sure of that.
- No, of course we are not going to. We may be forced to in the long run to create stability but not immediately. They still have a running government and as long as they have that we will get their permission first before bringing troops into their country.
- I do not think that the US is going to send troops to Pakistan. We are spread too thin as it is. Though it is a short trip from Afghanistan to Pakistan, things in Afghanistan are too delicate right now for us to divert our forces.
- No not at this time..would not be a great idea at all..and also congress would't go for it. And we as a country could not live with another war period.
- No. The US Army is tied down in Afghanistan and Iraq. We have spent nearly a trillion dollars on this. We can't afford to get into another mess. This would further unite Islam against the US. It would give all the Islamists in Pakistan US people to kill. Why don't they solve their own problems?
- No. The US already has its hands full with Iraq and Afganistan. We've got too much invested in those two countries to even consider it. Our military would be spread too thin, as we have the majority of our resources already tied up, so it's not even feasible. Not to mention, we aren't exactly the most popular nation on earth right now, so invading another country wouldn't exactly help the cause.
- You are a long way from Pakistan if you live in Bangladesh. The US was hoping Bhutto would be elected. We are also establishing good relations with Musharraf.
- As for one who served in the military we are once again as I said before the world police what do u expect the US military to do in that country when they have not been allowed in there since the very beginning of the war on terrorism.. So no why should be get involved with something that we have no control over what takes place there OK, it is that simple leave the US military out of this.
- not very likely.
- It is not Americas business, they are not the police of the world!
- This is a horribly naive idea. First why would you want the U.S to get involved in this volatile issue it has no business in? It is bad enough that this government has support Musharraf, a military dictator. Pakistan needs to settle its own problems without outside interference. I guess I am a little late, because Pakistan has been a close ally with the U.S.A.
- I think they should first start with Bangladesh.
- dude, come on... thing may not be tat bad,,,,
