What do you think of our government sending $10 billion to Pakistan for their help in catching terrorists?

3. Bad idea, because if that country did not want those terrorists in it's nation, it would have eliminated them already. I think it is very possible that money may be funneled to the terrorists themselves considering it is a Muslim country. However, I do not know the diplomatic relations between US, and Pakistan as of now. I am not sure of their stance on terror.
4. Grave mistake, Pakistan is the real haven for terrorism, and the real reason why Al Qaeda is getting so strong. They are using our money to arm, train and support Al Qaeda. Please god grant Bush some sense.

6. 10 Billion is too small. US is spending 12 Billion per month in Iraq. It should send 150 billion to Pakistan. US is a rich country right?

10. I have a problem with it for three reasons. First, Pakistan really hasn't given us anywhere near the help that they could have. Second, many elements in the government of Pakistan have actually been helping the terrorists. Third, the current regime in Pakistan is a perfect example of why we have trouble from terrorists. It both supports religious extremists and represses its own people. The fact that they are one of the top recipients of foreign aid in the Muslim world supports the propaganda of the terrorists that we aren't truly interested in democracy and the welfare of the Muslim world but only in keeping the Muslim people down.
11. i think all aid that the US sends out to other countries are simply a way to eventually eliminate those countries and perpetuate US imperialism. here's how. and no, i'm not a conspiracy theorist but i am from pakistan. 1. send aide to a country to show support of the government that supports US ideals and foreign policy. 2. strengthen that government through continuous, unwarranted support 3. the government of that country becomes really strong, and eventually becomes anti-US through public pressure 4. link some terrorist activity to that government and use that as an excuse to impose sanctions 5. country gets agitated and develops deeper anti-US sentiments 6. country actually begins to harbor and encourage violent, anti-US activities 7. country gets bombed by US this is pretty much what happened in Afghanistan, iraq and several south american countries. pakistan is next.

14. But haven't we been told for some time now that Osama and his troops are hiding in Pakistan regrouping? Although $10B is a drop in the bucket in our $9TRILLION deficit!!!!!.......What has Pakistan produced with that money? Have they caught any terrorists? EDIT: Hey what about Bush saying that we would hold accountable countries that aided and harbored terrorists???? If Osama and Al Qaeda are in Pakistan isn't that harboring them? So now we are paying them to harbor terrorists?
