- Depends how big the part is? Is it a lead role? If its a minor and not going to pay you much then go with A Levels...
- only purpose of a levels is mainly to get into uni, if you do then do a levels, if u dont want to go uni then a levels r useless so do acting best advice, ask a proper actor and how does your family feel about it,
- Tough situation! I would go for my A Levels...since if you got the role...it may be a one hit wonder and you won't have anything to fall back on. But if it is paying well like over 100Grand!!! Then i would go for it! ;) If you do your A Levels then you will have something to get a job with at least. Its a tough situation since you may be missing an opportunity of a life time if you don't go for it. I changed my mind! I would say go for it since if you get the part that will open the doors of acting for you and when you comeback then you can do your A Levels. You'll only be a year late or 2 for A Levels??? Hope the above helps and hasn't confused you even more! :) Oh, speak to your parents too...get everyones views!
- this seems like a catch 22 situation if you take the part then it could lead to an acting career, on the other hand it may not, at least the other way you'd have your a levels to fall back on if you decided to choose another career path or go to uni. personally i would opt for the a-levels, if it's meant to be i'm sure another opportunity will arise in the future. Good luck whatever you decide.
- Is one of your A-levels in drama perchance..and the others in say maths, english and a science specialization? And your parents want you to opt for a 'proper professional degree'? The compromise would be to intimate your interest in the film part and to declare your seriousness by studying for the A-levels and then going to drama college. I'm sure the film makers will be impressed by your commitment, your parents will be partially satisfied you've completed your education and you will be in prime position to take up any future roles which will arise!
- Depends what your role is etc... If its a main part TAKE IT BABY!! If not, you should o and take your A levels. Or do the acting and return to do A levels next year :]
- If you really wanted to go into an acting career you would not even be asking. It is not a decision you can make until you get the role. There could be loads of people trying for it so your chances are slim. If you really want to be an actor you will need your A Levels to get into a decent drama school or uni course. Doing your A Levels will be much more use in the longer run. Appearing in one film will not give you the skills you need to make it - and remember, you want to enter one of the hardest professions in the world - you need something to fall back on. There are many actors who have been doing waiting jobs for years waiting for their break - all of them as educated as you. Remember, drama is one of the courses that have very few places that are government funded and these places will go to the best - for talent and A Level results. It's up to you.
